As you walk into this land, Disney wants you to feel like you have shrunk down to the size of a toy. Get ready to play with the characters from Toy Story with 3 attractions packed into this one area. It is a small land full of big thrills!
Fans of the film will be thrilled by the theming here. Adults will love the retro feel, with giant fairy lights guiding the way. Fences built from K’Nex and old school toy favourites are littered throughout this land. The challenging part is trying not to say ‘I had one of those when I was a kid’
Attractions:
RC Racer – The orange track dominates the skyline as RC Racer speeds up and down drawing screams from the guests on board. This is a surprisingly good attraction which is thrilling but doesn’t instil the motion sickness associated with a typical pirate ship ride. Be prepared for the queue line which is deceptively long but it is worth the wait for the ride itself.
Slinky® Dog Zigzag Spin – A minicoaster suitable for all ages. Like any dog, as soon as Slinky spots his tail, he has to chase it, bringing you along for the ride. The gentle up and down motion is enjoyable for all but will particularly delight young kids. Adults may find this a little tame for their liking.
Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop – Join the soldiers in their training exercise, a Disney twist on the classic drop ride. The views from the top are worth the long queue times that this ride generates. The queuing system is bland so bring some reading material to break up the waiting time.
Buzz Lightyear – You are welcomed into the land by a giant Buzz Lightyear toy. The challenge here is to get a photo without someone else walking into shot. He talks in both English and French so watch out for the trademark catchphrases as you wait to get that perfect picture.
Shopping:
There is only one shop in this land and it is based in a giant blue barrel. Unfortunately, given its small size it is only open during busy periods but it is worth dropping by if you can. The theming is fun and for fans of the film franchise it is the perfect place to pick up a souvenir of your trip.
